For the LaVoda project, we developed two specific schemes, with an understated and subtle link to the meaning of LaVoda – Ravine. We drew from the natural colorations in nature and the sometimes soft and serine atmosphere of the pacific west coast mornings.
THE LIGHTER SCHEME
The lighter of the two schemes draws from the softness of a cloudy, mist filled waterscape with its warm hues of soft grey and white. The warmth and lightness of a whitewashed wood combines with variations of taupe, white and grey to give a neutral, light and calming environment for the home.
THE DARKER SCHEME
The darker of the two schemes draws from the forest, and the beautiful hues we see in the tree itself; Taken from the simplest of features such as their bark, a warm reddish brown wood works in tandem with soft greyed out greens, which are the basis for this complimentary toned scheme. Warm and welcoming, yet neutral in its undertones, this scheme creates an environment for the homeowner that desires texture and depth to their environment.
